Sarmad Tamimy
University Hospitals of Nottingham
Mr Tamimy is an esteemed consultant plastic surgeon based in Nottingham who is currently the head of service and MDT lead for the East Midlands Sarcoma Service. He is a member of the Joint Committee of Intercollegiate Examinations’ FRCS(Plast) MCQ Writing Group and a member of the National Selection Panel’s ST3 Plastic Surgery.
Jim Down
University College London Hospitals
Dr Jim Down is a consultant in Intensive Care and Anaesthesia at University College London Hospitals and author of two books; ‘Life Support, Diary of an ICU Doctor on the Frontline of the Covid Crisis,’ and ‘Life in the Balance, A Doctor’s Stories of Intensive Care. In the course of a thirty-year career he has attended a train crash, treated victims of the 7/7 London Bombings and looked after poisoned Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko. In 2023 he gave the Aneurin Bevan Lecture at the Hay-on-Wye literary festival and in 2024 delivered a Tedx Lecture in Manchester

Aneurin Bevan Health Board
Mr Tanaka was appointed Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics at Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board in 2006. He is an honorary lecturer at Cardiff University and a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society’s education committee.

Jeya Palan

Mr Palan is a consultant hip and knee arthroplasty surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust. He is a high-volume arthroplasty surgeon undertaking approximately 200 hip and knee replacements annually. He has a specialist interest in the management of periprosthetic joint infections and fractures.

Deborah Eastwood
Great Ormond Street Hospital
Eastwood is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with dual appointments at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. She also serves as an Associate Professor at University College London. She was President of the British Orthopaedic Association (2022–2023) and previously served as President of the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society, reflecting her outstanding leadership at both national and international levels.
William Knopp
Police Prevent Coordinator for East Midlands
Chief Inspector William Knopp is a member of the East Midlands Prevent Team made up of police, local authorities and other agencies who works with schools, the health service and other community organisations to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism or showing support for extremism by intervening early.

Miss Bose is a consultant in orthopaedic trauma and limb reconstruction at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, where she has worked since 2009. Her practice is exclusively in adults, and includes general trauma, major trauma and post-traumatic limb reconstruction: osteomyelitis, malunion, non-union, limb lengthening & deformity correction.​

Sujith Konan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in all aspects of hip, knee, trauma and sports surgery. He has received appreciation for his work on some of the most complex procedures in the field and has been recognized around the world for his research. He is also trained in robotic surgery.
